I have high functioning autism but I work at a horse therapy center to help others who have it worse then I do this is very good parenting on the momma who is comforting her son when I was little I would bite hit and kick tho I was adopted from a neglectful house hold so I had abandonment issues tho my parents who adopted me where very patient and it helps alog

Some people here throwing around the word "homeopathic" and "cure"​. It's a very dangerous thing to do .....the level of ignorance that surrounds this condition is mind-boggling!

Unfortunately living in a small town with an autisic non verbal son in the early nineties there was no help. No programs. The school system failed my son. 😢 As most school systems do.

Mom of an autistic son, there are many techniques that can be used to help calm the child. It may look barbaric yet it works. Autistic children are worthy of love, care, and any kind of help that will help them.

Screw that. No thank you. This is why I will not have anymore kids. I am not mentally capeable of handing that crap day to say. I feel like I would have zero empathy and just not cognitively process that they can’t help it. My mind is stuck on them being able to chose how to act yet they still act otherwise. I know I maybe not be right and that it’s proven to be legitimate but my brain won’t see it that way. So I just view it as being immature and a result of coddled and learned behavior. I already know I’m going to tell; no need to tell me. I’m just being honest. If I could have more empathy and sympathy for the folks, I would have it. But I don’t.

She's not impressed

It took a bee sting when i was 16 for me to start wearing shoes when outside my house . I grew up in the woods and all the kids in the neighborhood ran around without shoes on. Then i got stung and my foot swelled so bad i couldnt wear my shoe if i wanted too.

I heard that ASD is 1:36. I'm a late diagnosised ASD, I'm 69. I found out about 8 months ago. My first thought was, "Oh, that makes so much sense." I have a lot of empathy for parents trying to parent their young kids through these needs. But I have seen great progress in some kids.

He would do great at Kennedy Krieger Institute . I worked there as a clinical assistant while they worked on behavioral therapy

It's wonderful that these children have a way to break out of their closed world now. It is not always a pleasant journey but the rewards are usually life changing. Thank God these treatments have been discovered. Not much existed when my sister was growing up with autism. She had a great life but others her age were given horrible drugs, not a real solution. My grandson suffered in this way through primary school he slowly stopped being violent .He is 188 he has graduated high school and does a little volunteer work .Autism is so hard on parents particularly with all the negative comments from people. WE LOVE HIM DEARLY ❤HANG IN THERE❤

This is so hard to watch. My grandson had difficulties when he was a toddler, non verbal and would strike out at people. He’s now 14 and is doing wonderful. He’s told his parents he wanted to be homeschooled. It started during the pandemic, he liked it and he’s doing very well.

That's not a big wart. My wart takes up my whole thumb for 2 years had every treatment done and it's still there. Nothing helps. So embarrassing

Beautiful baby and lovely remedies, but why is nobody looking at the baby's posture ? His mouth is always open, so he's breathing though the mouth instead of the nose, the tip of the tongue is almost always visible in the gaping jaw and his skin is showing a typical reaction to cow protein in mother's milk (from mother's consumption of dairy). If the mother is not consuming dairy perhaps the bb is getting too much foremilk. (See the woolridge studies on that). I find it just amazing that nobody looks at the whats going on under the tongue with such hugely visible signs of restriction there. Nice massage therapy to help with symptoms though.
